Rev. Samuel Kofi Essah is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a seasoned finance, audit, and corporate governance professional with over 20 years of experience in financial management, external and internal auditing, accounting, risk management, corporate governance, and institutional development. Throughout his career, he has successfully supported private sector organisations, development partners, non-governmental organisations, and donor-funded projects in strengthening financial accountability, improving internal controls, and enhancing organisational performance.
He serves as Senior Audit Manager at Finance Ink Consult (FIC), where he leads audit engagements across diverse sectors, including agribusiness, non-governmental organisations, cooperatives, and private enterprises, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and regulatory requirements. Previously, Samuel served as Finance and Administrative Manager and Acting National Coordinator of the Farmers Organisation Network in Ghana (FONG), where he managed donor-funded programmes supported by the European Union, IFAD, AGRA, USAID, GIZ, and DANIDA, providing strategic leadership in financial planning, grants management, institutional strengthening, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.
Earlier in his career, Samuel held finance and project accounting roles with the Ecumenical Association for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development (ECASARD), Development Action Association (DAA), and Foods Inn Ghana Limited, building extensive expertise in agri-finance reporting, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, and operational management. His regional assignments with the Network of Farmers’ and Agricultural Producers’ Organisations of West Africa (ROPPA) further strengthened his experience in financial oversight, organisational capacity assessment, and agricultural development initiatives across West Africa.
Beyond his finance and audit expertise, Samuel has a strong interest in agribusiness, rural development, value chain development, and enterprise sustainability. His passion for empowering farmer organisations, promoting agribusiness investment, strengthening agricultural value chains, and supporting inclusive economic development aligns with the vision of institutions dedicated to transforming agriculture and improving livelihoods across West Africa.
He is also a member in good standing of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. His academic background, combined with extensive professional experience, enables him to bridge financial management with strategic organisational leadership. Samuel is equally committed to faith-based leadership and community transformation. He serves as an Associate Minister at Perez Chapel International, providing spiritual leadership, mentoring individuals and families, and supporting initiatives that promote ethical leadership, integrity, and personal development. His ministry complements his professional life, reinforcing his conviction that excellence in leadership is founded on character, stewardship, and service.
